SUNDAY PARLOR
Open Mic & Soapbox Session
SUNDAY PARLOR IS A WEEKLY OPEN MIC AND DISCUSSION
FORUM CREATED AND  HOSTED BY TWO SHADES OF BLACK.
WE TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING FROM RELATIONSHIPS TO THE
CONDITIONS OF OUR PEOPLE. WE DON’T WANT TO COMMIT LIP
SERVICE, WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOLUTIONS AND PRESENT THIS
AS A POSITIVE FORUM FOR SELF EXPRESSION WHERE YOU CAN
VENT, SHARE AND LAUGH WITH THE COMMUNITY.  THE
SOAPBOX SESSION IS OUR DISCUSSION PORTION OF THE
EVENING WHERE WE SHARE PERSPECTIVES AND INSIGHTS ON
ANY GIVEN TOPIC WHILE NETWORKING IN OUR OWN
COMMUNITY.  POETS, VOCALISTS, ARTISTS, COMEDIANS AND
MUSICIANS ARE ALL WELCOME TO PERFORM DURING THE
OPEN MIC.
This message goes out to everyone that has ever walked through those doors, sat down and
enjoyed a night of conversation, open mic and a occasional TSB activity.  We created a family
atmosphere that allowed anyone to come in for the first time and not feel like a stranger.  A
place where people felt comfortable enough to share their most deepest feelings and thoughts.
So it is very difficult to announce to everyone that we have decided to peacefully part ways
with Solomon's.  May 28, was our last Sunday Parlor.  We will definitely keep everyone posted
about our future events.

We are still collecting books up until the day of the book distribution (July 22.)  We will not be
collecting books from Solomon's so we're asking everyone to give us a call (Eric 718-490-5340)
or email (Eric@twoshadesofblack.com) your pick up location.  We could really use some sketch
books and journals.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

Thank you to all the poets, singers and actors  who have graced the Sunday Parlor stage with
their powerful voices.  You've been an inspiration and blessing to us all.

Peace & Blessings/Two Shades Of Black
